Glenn Douglas was appointed as Chief Executive of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in January 2008. Glenn joined the Trust in October 2007 as interim CEO from Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust where he was Chief Executive, just before the publication of the Healthcare Commission report into C.Diff. Since publication infection rates for both C.Diff and MRSA have reduced significantly and Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is now one of the best performing organisations for infection control in the South East.
Glenn joined Ashford and St Peter’s in July 2002. He was instrumental in turning around a zero starred Trust into a 3 star Trust. His background is mainly NHS, having worked in a number of other Trusts and Health Authorities in Sussex, Kent and Manchester, although he worked for 4 years as a consultant with Coopers & Lybrand.
