Project Mentors

The credit for any success that might be achieved by Centre for Patient Involvement is due to the support and mentorship of the following individuals and organisations (this not an exhaustive or complete list).

Most important mentors the project are Dr Mahmud’s patients; in particular Mr Tom Page, Mr Jeff Powell

Professor Sir Graeme Catto – believed in the project when it was just an idea and generously offered help and guidance
Sir Donald Irvine – has been very encouraging and supportive of the project
Professor Sir James Black – has kindly supported Dr Mahmud over many years
Sir David Nicholson CBE – has made time to attend and contribute to the Royal Society of Medicine in 2009 and supports efforts to improve patient feedback and clinical outcomes
Dame Christine Beasley – made time to find out about the project and supports its aspirations
Mr Paul Buckley – attended and contributed to Conference at the Royal Society of Medicine 2009 and has offered guidance on progressing the project
Professor Bernard Crump – has made to learn about the project and contribute to the development of Clinical Check List
Dr Mark Goldman – has made time to discuss the project and supports the aspiration to improve patient feedback and service improvements
Ms Yvonne Coghill – has taken keen interest in the project and supports project aspirations
Ms Candy Morris – has made time to find out about the project and supports efforts to improve clinical outcomes
Mr Glenn Douglas – has kindly made time to attend and contribute to the Royal Society of Medicine in 2009 and is supportive of project aspirations
Ms Joanna Goodrich and colleagues – have provided guidance and advice on the research in the field patient feedback approaches and for helping formulate research into patient feedback
Professor Sir Ian Gilmore – has taken an interest in the project and supports efforts to improve patient involvement
